What is the difference between Event Day and Training Day?
Event Day - is where MVHDF may incorporate their official gunners into training, where live ammunition by official gunners may be used.
Training Day - is where NO live ammunition is being used and the use of a blank gun or shot gun with blanks are in use.
Our Event / Training Days
To introduce the State Owned Field Trial Area to the handler, which will include fields and water sites.
To introduce Rules & Regulations of the State Owned Field Trial Areas, and Spillway Rules and Regulations.
To assist handlers in evaluation of their puppy or dog.
To help the handler develop a training program that they can take home and continue working with until the next Event Day.
To expose the dog and handler to an environment as close to test conditions as possible in preparation for their evaluation.
